What is Microblading?Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a relatively new, manual method in which a unique hand instrument with a small row of very fine needles that deposit pigment into the epidermis with a slicing, feathring stroke. The pigment is implanted in the basal membrane which divides the epidermis from the dermis layer of the skin. This creates very crisp, fine hair strokes that don't blur after healing.

What are Combination BrowsCombination brows are just that, a combination of two different techniques. We microblade a portion of the brow and add machine shading in between the strokes or just through certain areas to "fill in". This technique is great for clients with less hair in certain areas.

Who is NOT a good candidate for Microblading?Allergy to Nickel (blade) Diabetic (Doctors note required) Viral Infections or Diseases Epilepsy A Pacemaker or major heart problems Had an Organ Transplant Sick (cold, flu, etc.) Taking blood thinners Skin irritations near the area such as sunburn or Psoriasis Taking sun sensitizing medications Botox within last 2 weeks Accutane within last year History of keloid scarring Auto-immune deficiencies People suffering from severe acne Pregnant or nursing women Chemotherapy patients will need to check with their physician and provide a doctor’s note. People with conditions that cause them to bleed very easily (this impacts results) People with prior permanent makeup may not be good candidates. This determined by consultation I Do NOT recommend Microblading for oily skin types. Oily skin, tends to dilute pigment under the skin & can push out the color. A traditional method of tattooing that we offer, with a machine, is more penetrating & a better option for retaining ink with oily skin. No REFUNDS will be given, due to color loss! Some skin types & working environments such as steam, laundry mats, Hot kitchens, outdoor occupations in humid weather, Salt air, & Water have a negative effect on retaining color. It is the clients responsibility to take care of the tattoo & protect the tattoo from sun & weather conditions. Refunds are Not given, but touch ups can be scheduled to add additional color & shape.

Is Microblading/Shading painful? This is designed to be a gentle procedure with minimal discomfort. We pre numb the eyebrow area prior to breaking the skin and also use a secondary numbing throughout the procedure. Our clients report little to no pain!

Before your appointment...No excessive sunlight exposure to the area going to be treated. No Retinols\Retin-A’s, or other anti-aging creams or serums containing acids as these will fade prematurely. No Botox for at least three weeks before and after treatment. No chemical peels 60 days before or 60 days after (brows will peel quicker due to the chemicals traveling under the skin). Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before the treatment. (Tylenol/acetaminiphen is ok). Do not discontinue any medication without consulting your doctor first. Reduce alcohol intake and end it two days before the treatment. No waxing or tinting 3 days before. Please do not work out the day of the procedure as the body heat will expand the pores. Do NOT drink coffee or anything with caffeine the day of procedure. Do NOT drink alcohol 24 hours before the procedure.

How long will my brows last? This question is different for everyone and will depend on your skin type and your lifestyle. In general, Microblading will last about 9-18 months before a color boost/touch up is needed and Ombre brows will last about 12-24 months before a color boost/touch up is needed. We recommend always wearing sunblock on your brows and avoiding serums and creams on the brow area for longer results.
